You can visit Namibia all year round. The warmer days are in the Namibian summer from November to February with temperatures of over 35 °C with the occasional summer downpour. From March to May the landscape is covered with a green carpet after the summer rain, and you will see many young animals. Winter is from May to September and ideal for game viewing with days that are dry and warm (20 °C to 25 °C), and cold nights

Climate:
In winter from May to October daytime temperatures are between 18°C and 25°C. At night, temperatures can fall to under 0 °C. Winter is generally dry. In summer, from November to April, the daytime temperatures are between 20 °C and 34 °C
Entry and Visa Requirements:
To enter Namibia, you will need a passport which is still valid for 6 months after exiting Namibia. Visas are issued at entry should you need any. Please contact your nearest Namibian embassy for visas requirements.
Money:
The Namibian currency is the Namibian Dollar (N$ or NAD).
The Namibian Bank allows you to exchange all freely convertible currencies and traveler’s cheques into Namibian Dollars. At larger branches, you will find ATMs, where you can draw money with a credit or Maestro card. Most international credit cards (MasterCard, Diners Club & Visa) are accepted in bigger towns, but not on traditional markets.
Languages:
The official language is English. The population mostly speaks Afrikaans (60%) and German (35%).
Electricity:
The voltage in Namibia is 220-250 V. Adaptors can be purchased at most supermarkets.
Telecommunication:
Namibia has a fully developed modern mobile network which works well in the larger towns. You can make calls everywhere in Namibia with GSM dual-band.
Health:
For Namibia, no vaccinations are required. A malaria-prophylactic is only necessary if you are planning to visit areas north of the Etosha Park or in the Zambezi region. Proof of a recent yellow fever vaccination is required if you enter from a yellow fever area.
